What is this strange bump on my cat’s side?
We recently took our cats to the vet and they got their rabies vaccination. One of my cats seems to have developed a bump near the location of the shot since then. It’s about as big as a walnut, and it’s under the skin. What is it and how can we help him?
I think it could be one of two things.
If the area is the same spot that she got the vaccination it could have gotten infected and developed a cyst. If the cat is an outdoor cat he/she may have gotten in a fight and been bitten or scratched (this happened to mine) and then similarly developed a cyst.
All things considered, you probably want to take him/her to the vet so they can drain infection.
