Will a Christmas Cactus bloom by using artificial light (end table lamp) in a closet during the day?
I plan to put my cactus in an unused closet, with a lamp on a timer set to give it 10-12 hours of light during the day. Will this work, as opposed to it having natural light during the day?
For it to set buds it needs to get cold, as in 45 or just above freezing. Buds should set in about 10 days as little balls on the ends of the leaves or in between the leaves. Bring it back in the house and put under morning sun and watch it go.
