Question for owners of “bébéPOD” Bumbo-style chairs?

I’m looking to buy a bébéPOD; of course there were none on the shelves when I went looking today (didn’t know the recall was in Canada too…), and there’s only one for sale 2nd hand locally, with a ‘rip’ in it. I don’t know exactly what the material they’re made out of is like — is a rip a big deal that’s going to turn into a larger hole, or not a problem?

(sigh) “Helpful” answerers might want to look into the details of the recall, first… Never in a million years would I have put one of those on a high surface.

If the bébéPOD is made out of the same material as the Bumbo, I don’t think that a rip will turn into a larger hole.
I have a bumbo for my son, and it seems like it might get cracks in it (from wear and tear) .. but I don’t think that a rip will necessarily get bigger.
It’s kind of a hard plastic, yet seems soft enough to bend. So, it’s flexible enough that the hole shouldn’t expand too much!
good luck to you! God bless!
